Selling prevails in Piazza Affari and the other European markets

News Image (Teleborsa) - Indices in Milan and the other major European bourses all trade negative.

EUR / USD trades slightly up at 1.056. Gold is essentially stable at previous levels, finishing at 2,562.5 dollars per ounce. A gloomy day for Light Sweet Crude Oil, which is trading at 67.7 dollars per barrel, down -1.46%.

The Spread is at +121 basis points, near the previous day's level, while the ten-year BTP settles at +3.57%.

Among the markets of the Old Continent, Frankfurt is modestly down, shedding -0.65%, London drifts -0.36% lower, and Paris declines by a notable -0.86%.

In Milan, the FTSE MIB is below the flatline as it slips -0.32% to 34,248 points; similarly, the FTSE Italia All-Share comes under sell-off pressure as it retreats to 36,381 points.

The FTSE Italia Mid Cap hovers just below the flatline (-0.53%); similarly, the FTSE Italia Star spirals down (-1.04%).

Generali is the only blue chip in Milan to obtain good results, gaining +4.92%.

Interpump Group has the worst performance, with a -4.77% down.

Stmicroelectronics is struggling, -2.92% down.

Nexi suffers losses of 1.67%.

Investors hurry to sell as MPS Bank declines -1.59%.

Fincantieri (+3.31%), Reply (+2.59%), GVS (+1.40%) and Digital Value (+1.27%) are among the big players in the FTSE Italia Mid Cap index.

Technoprobe reports the heaviest losses, currently suffering from a -5.00% down.

A black day for Marr, which sheds -4.92%.

Carel Industries plunges -2.48% on intense selling.

Investors are selling as Webuild records a -2.36% fall.
