Piazza Affari shines

News Image (Teleborsa) - Borsa Italiana is up amid a flurry of buying activity, as are the major European exchanges. On the US market, the S&P-500 is in fairly positive terrain.

EUR / USD is essentially stable, finishing at 1.114. Gold is essentially stable at previous levels, finishing at 2,660.5 dollars per ounce. Light Sweet Crude Oil plunges to 67.36 dollars per barrel amid heavy sell-offs, losing -3.35%.

The Spread goes down to +130 basis points, shrinking -4 BPs, while the Italian 10-year BTP yield is at +3.44%.

Among the European indices, Frankfurt progresses +1.63% in an optimal session, London records a fairly pedestrian increase of +0.33%, and Paris impresses with a +2.18% rise.

A day of solid gains in Piazza Affari, with the FTSE MIB rising +1.67%; similarly, the FTSE Italia All-Share has the wind in its sails, trading up at 36,578 points.

FTSE Italia Mid Cap puts in an excellent performance (+2.18%); similarly, the FTSE Italia Star improves sharply (+1.92%).

Among Italy's best performing large-caps, Brunello Cucinelli takes off (+7.93%).

Moncler boasts a +7.31% increase as investors scramble to get their hands on shares.

An ebullient Campari is up +5.31%.

Unicredit sparkles, managing to pull off a +4.56% increase.

ENI reports the heaviest losses, currently suffering from a -3.23% down.

Saipem shows a negative session -3.17% down.

Troubled Leonardo falls -1.72%.

Tenaris is sluggish, declining marginally (-0.65%).

Ferragamo (+10.97%), GVS (+10.02%), Ariston Holding (+8.17%) and Intercos (+5.86%) are among the big players in the FTSE Italia Mid Cap index.

Danieli & C has the worst performance, with a -2.46% down.

Philogen is modestly down, shedding -1%.

Juventus drifts -0.58% lower.
