Europe, Milan power ahead

News Image (Teleborsa) - Europe is buoyed by fresh buying, as is Piazza Affari, which posts big gains.

A session to forget for EUR / USD, which sheds -1.63%. Gold trades down -0.51% in a weak session. Light Sweet Crude Oil plunges to 70.77 dollars per barrel amid heavy sell-offs, losing -1.7%.

The Spread retreats slightly to +122 basis points, down -2 BPs, while the Italy BTP 10-year yield stands at +3.64%.

Among the markets of the Old Continent, Frankfurt is firmly in the black, progressing +1.3%, London performs well, growing +1.35%, and Paris is on top of the game with a strong +1.82% rise.

In a strong day for the Milan bourse the FTSE MIB gains +1.08%; similarly, the FTSE Italia All-Share surges above the previous day's levels to trade at 36,957 points.

FTSE Italia Mid Cap puts in an excellent performance (+1.53%), as the FTSE Italia Star is up +1.49%.

Tenaris (+6.05%), DiaSorin (+3.45%), Leonardo (+3.19%) and Stmicroelectronics (+3.11%) among the best performing blue chips in Piazza Affari.

Inwit has the worst performance, with a -1.67% down.

ERG suffers losses of 1.53%.

Pirelli & C is sluggish, declining marginally (-0.91%).

Enel is modestly down, shedding -0.61%.

Digital Value (+8.99%), Buzzi (+6.73%), Technoprobe (+4.85%) and Tinexta (+4.32%) top the ranks of Milan's mid-caps.

Brembo reports the heaviest losses, currently suffering from a -0.90% down.

Alerion Clean Power drifts -0.64% lower.
