A grim day for European equity. Milan in the red

News Image (Teleborsa) - The major European bourses are all in the doldrums. The Milanese stock exchange is also trading lower, but with less severe losses. US markets also see prices slip fractionally.

EUR / USD holds its position at 1.115. Gold trades up, advancing to 2,606.7 dollars per ounce. Light Sweet Crude Oil is firmly in the red as it tumbles -0.95% to trade at 70.49 dollars per barrel.

The Spread is broadly on the previous day's level as it settles at +132 basis points, while the Italy ten-year BTP is at +3.5%.

Among the European markets, Frankfurt plunges -1.36% on intense selling, investors are selling as London records a -1.21% fall, and Paris shows a negative session -1.24% down.

The Milan stock exchange is trading lower, with the FTSE MIB recording a decline of -0.76%; similarly, investors sell as the FTSE Italia All-Share slides to 35,911 points.

The FTSE Italia Mid Cap declines -1.5%; on the same trend direction, the FTSE Italia Star is in the red (-1.35%).

Italgas (+1.31%), Hera (+1.14%), Terna (+0.86%) and Intesa Sanpaolo (+0.51%) among the top performers in Milan.

Iveco sees the heaviest sell-offs, now trading -5.90% lower.

Stmicroelectronics plunges -4.8%.

Moncler nosedives by -4.64%.

Investors flee as Brunello Cucinelli is down by a massive -4.27%.

Acea (+1.57%) and Ascopiave (+1.41%) are among the best performing stocks in the FTSE Italia Mid Cap basket.

MFE B reports the heaviest losses, currently suffering from a -5.32% down.

Ferragamo dives -4.56%.

Industrie De Nora collapses (-4.5%).

De'Longhi reels under sharp sell-offs as it declines -4.15%.
